Selena Gomez had a big night at the 2025 SAG Awards, with her show "Only Murders in the Building" taking home the award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. But, of course, before the actress could get her hands all over her well-earned trophy, we were all over her red carpet beauty look (which was stunning, btw).
For starters, Gomez made a very strong case for wearing a voluminous, shoulder-grazing bob this spring, but we really loved her coordinating lipstick and manicure, both painted in a vibrant, orangey-red. Gomez' makeup artist, Hung Vanngo, was responsible for her look and used a combination of the star's Rare Beauty lip liner ($16) and matte lipstick ($20) for her bold lips. Vanngo also used a combination of Dr. Althea's Green Relief Amino Gel Cleanser ($16), Vitamin C Boosting Serum ($24), and 345 Relief Cream ($27) to prep Gomez's skin before applying her makeup.
Celebrity manicurist Tom Bachik was responsible for her tips and told Well+Good that the inspiration for his client's bright set was a classic case of contrasting. "I try to either compliment or contrast nails to best accent our look. Playing off Sel's blackened navy Celine gown, we decided to contrast, and what better nail for the red carpet than a bright 80s red?" Bachik told us.

For her SAG Awards manicure, Bachik first prepped Gomez's natural nails which they've been strategically growing to keep a medium-length almond shape. To create the perfect canvas for his client, he massaged a small amount of Aquaphor Healing Ointment ($20) into her cuticles to help soften and hydrate them before pushing them back. Then, Bachik used his Tweezerman Ultimate Nail Care Set ($59) to buff, shape, and clean up her nails. He followed up with two coats of a not-yet-released red gel polish shade by Click Colors before giving it a glossy finish with the Click Colors Super Clear Gel Top Coat ($16).
"Reds are so hot right now and work all year round. Whether it's spring's new beginnings, summer toes, or the winter red carpet, red is a statement, and Sel loves it," he said. "It's a trend that'll be very popular this year." To make her nails shine even more on the red carpet, Bachik finished by massaging more Aquaphor Healing Ointment to hydrate the cuticle area without leaving it oily or greasy.
The result? A glossy, vibrant, hydrated set that popped nicely against Gomez's gown and trophy. Now, don't mind us—we'll just be here looking up copycat nail colors before our next mani.
