It doesn’t take a lot for me to cry. Patient doesn’t pull through on Grey’s Anatomy? I cry. My dogs do something adorable? I cry. I realize I haven’t done dishes in three days and the pile is overwhelming? I cry. So, to get me through most days, I need a tough mascara. Enter Wander Beauty Mile High Club Volume Mascara, an intense black, water-resistant mascara that simultaneously gives lashes volume and length—and doesn’t smudge or flake.

Wander Beauty Mile High Club Volume Mascara — $26.00
Apply one or two coats of this mascara, and you’ll end up with long, thick lashes. The formula features castor seed oil for conditioning and flexibility, as well as peach leaf extract that prevents breakage.
I have dark lashes, but they’re on the thin side, so I prefer mascaras that lay it on thick, but don’t go on clumpy. Mile High Club has a really rich formula that’s still easy to apply without being too inky. While the brush doesn’t look like anything special, it has these really precise bristles that evenly coat every single lash. I generally skip the curler step and go straight to the mascara (sometimes I’ll use a mascara primer—my favorite is L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise primer). Applying Mile High is easy: I zig-zag from base to tip, which combs through each lash and ensures even coverage. When applying mascara on lower lashes, just comb downward.
Not only has this mascara lasted me through a quick sob, but it’s held up after a workout as well as day at the beach (I didn’t fully submerge my head, just FYI). I should, of course, note: Your mascara will probably smudge if the tears are *really* flowing, and of course if you rub your eyes—but I didn’t experience the usual mascara ink-running-down-my-face situation. This stuff doesn’t easily smudge or bleed, so you’ll need a good makeup remover to fully take it off. Lastly, it’s not super stiff, thanks to ingredients like nourishing castor seed oil. It also features peach leaf extract that helps minimize breakage.
The Mile High Club mascara comes in a squeezable tube, which can help the product last longer. So, another thing this mascara has got going for it is its longevity. Some mascaras tend to dry out super quickly, but not this one. You also don’t have to repeatedly dip the wand into its tube to get product out. With Mile High, you just squeeze the bottom of the tube and push upwards (like toothpaste), which easily (and evenly) coats the brush.
So, when you want dramatic lashes that don’t go anywhere, Wander Beauty Mile High Club mascara will be your new go-to.
