Whether it's a climate protection campaign with The National Geographic or a partnership with Peanuts to promote self care, Cariuma's collaborations never fall short of impressive. And just recently, the celeb- and shopper-approved brand launched its newest campaign: No Steps Back. In collaboration with Crooked Media, No Steps Back is Cariuma's and Crooked Media's effort to increase civic participation during this year's midterm elections on November 8.
To encourage voters to head to the polls, Cariuma produced two distinct sneakers, which are a spin-off on the brand's popular canvas style. The first shoe, an all-white canvas style, has the words "no steps back" printed in black on the sole. Covered in faded red, white, and blue "I Voted" stickers, the second shoe reads louder and is more colorful. While different in design, these shoes encourage people to vote for the future that they want to live in, whether they're passionate about environmental conservation, the future of public health, or reproductive rights.
These all-white kicks might be simple in color, but they have one bold message: No steps back. It’s a nudge to vote for the world you want to live in. Covered in faded “I Voted” stickers, this canvas sneaker encourages voters to head to the polls. Bonus: The shoes are extremely comfy and made from recycled plastic. A win win for your feet and the environment.
As if the civic engagement-forward messages weren't enough, both of the shoes were handcrafted with the environment in mind, with the shoes being made of organic cotton canvas, recycled plastic, and natural rubber.
New Cariuma styles are notorious for selling out, and this Crooked Media collaboration is no exception. We recommend grabbing a pair, ASAP.
