Rain or shine, nothing will keep me from wearing white sneakers—ever. Especially, if they’re Cariuma sneakers. Yes, the same eco-friendly brand that's been on all over Instagram and spotted on Pete Davidson and Helen Mirren have officially become my go-to sneaker style. I now have four pairs in my closet and wear a different silhouette almost every day. But of all the styles I own, there’s only one versatile enough to keep my feet cozy and comfortable this sweater weather season.

Enter, the Salvas ($98). I’ve been eyeing these sneaks for a long time because of their design and promised sturdy construction. While most of the brand's shoes have a soft canvas feel, these are designed to be even more durable. The upper is made with leather sourced from LWG-certified Gold Rated tanneries that helps provide a more protective shell for your feet. The Salvas also have cork insoles, recycled mesh lining for better breathability and a slip-resistant outsole for better grip.

But what makes them so fall-proof exactly? Apart from the thick leather upper, they also have great insulation. The padded tongue and the cushioned ankle collar hugs your ankles, heels, and toes without any squeezing happening (there's ample room throughout the midsole and toe box for those with wider feet). I'll admit, the leather upper makes them a taaad bulky compared to the OCA Low ($79), but that isn't a dealbreaker by any means. They're still lightweight and easy to walk in. And they look amazing with my wardrobe.

All in all, the shoes look great, but feel even better. Case in point: I decided to wear the Salvas to a music festival on a very drizzly day. And it was then that I realized that the comfort of these shoes was no joke. I had been on my feet for about five hours straight by the end of the night, but surprisingly, my feet weren't too sore when I went home. Though they don't have as much cushion as some of my Nike and Hoka sneaks, as everyday shoes, they have just enough support to keep my feet happy while I'm walking and standing all day. Not to mention, they're super trendy and easy to pair with different outfits. I personally like to style them with jeans, but you can easily wear them with dresses for a more elevated look.

And true to Cariuma styles, these puppies have zero break-in period.  That's right, the shoes have a Cinderella fit as soon as you slip them on. As a bonus, cleaning the Salvas is also an easy chore. All it took for me was using soap and water to remove some light scuff marks.

Bottom line, if you're looking for a sneaker that is durable, easy to clean and keeps you feet cozy, these are a safe bet. Currently, the Salvas are available in several different color combos, including all-white option. Check out our review of more of Cariuma's offerings. The W+G team has been slowly testing out the whole line so you know exactly what to buy.
