Our Fave Celebs Don’t Go a Day Without Using These 19 Drugstore Beauty Products
But, as it turns out, stars and supermodels alike have been professing their love for skin-care and makeup goodies that line your local CVS or Walmart or Target stores. Seriously: Jennifer Aniston moisturizes with a drugstore face cream and Priyanka Chopra's go-to lip product costs 4 dollars. They're in on the fact that some of the best beauty products can be found at the same place where you pick up your prescriptions and your cat food—even Beyoncé is swiping her lips with the same 12 dollar gloss as the rest of us are. Behold, 19 celebrities and their very own fave drugstore beauty products—below.
Reese Witherspoon: Revlon Eyelash Curler ($6)
Witherspoon appreciates a solid eyelash curler for lengthy lashes, and professed her love to Refinery 29 about Revlon's version. "I like the Revlon eyelash curler; it's as good as any eyelash curler I've ever used," she says.
Jennifer Aniston: Aveeno Positively Radiant Moisturizer with SPF 30 ($14)
Aniston's pretty low-key when it comes to her beauty routine, but does swear by a good moisturizer with added sun protection. She's told us that she simply cleansers her skin with soap and water in the a.m. to wake up, then puts on "some sort of Aveeno daily moisturizer that's got SPF in it."
Beyonce: L’Oreal Rouge Signature Lightweight Matte Colored Ink ($10)
Recently, our editor caught up with Queen Bey's makeup artist, Sir John, who revealed that he almost always uses L'Oreal's matte-colored lip ink on the musician's pout before a big event, and it never budges.
Nicole Kidman: Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Night Moisturizer ($18)
The superstar actress believes in a good retinol (as do we all)—but hers comes from the drugstore. In an interview with Byrdie, she reveals: "I believe in using retinol at night, so I use the Neutrogena Night Repair. I know people go, 'retinol! It’ll make your skin dry,' but it doesn’t." Words of wisdom.
Kristin Cavallari: Acure Brightening Facial Scrub ($10)
I was interviewing The Hills star Kristin Cavallari when she revealed her casual beauty regimen, which includes one of my personal fave drugstore brands: Acure Organics. "Acure is great—my favorite product is their Brightening Facial Scrub," she says. "I think it’s awesome and such a safe product, I love it."
Jessica Alba: Honest Beaty Magic Balm ($13)
Superstar mom and actress Alba loves a multitasking (and affordable) beauty product. "My not-so-secret weapon is Honest Beauty Magic Balm for softening lips, taming flyways, and blurring fine lines," she once revealed to us.
Priyanka Chopra: Burt's Bees Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil ($4)
Chopra keeps her pout hydrated with a drugstore staple. As she told Well+Good, “Nothing keeps my lips as soft and plump like Burt’s Bees, plus I love the hint of color that it gives my lips.”
Nina Dobrev: Simple Dual Effect Eye Makeup Remover ($9)
Actress Dobrev revealed to Harper's Bazaar her secret to removing makeup. "In order to remove the makeup around the eyes, sometimes I like to use a Q-tip to really get in there," she says of how she uses that $9 product.
Julia Roberts: Weleda Skin Food ($11)
Lots of makeup artists and beauty insiders love Weleda's multipurpose cream, and Roberts is in on it too, as she told InStyle. "I put it on my hands after I wash the dishes, and wind up putting it on my elbows and feet," she says. "Before you know it, I've squeezed this poor little green tube into a twist."
Halima Aden: Vita Coco Organic Non-GMO Coconut Oil ($9)
Supermodel Aden recently told us she's a super-fan of the multipurpose coconut oil. "My friend Dani who came with me on a Vita Coco trip [to the Philippines], she sent me the Vita Coco Coconut Oil, and it's amazing for hair and really good for skin," she says. "I use it not just on my face but my entire body. I use it as a makeup remover, it's very hydrating. I have very dry skin so it helps a lot." A second fave drugstore pick? Neutrogena's Clean and Clear line.
Taraji P. Henson: Bio-Oil Specialist Skincare ($13)
Empire star Henson uses this drugstore oil for keeping her manicure looking fresh. “Before bed, I put oil on my cuticles. I have all different kinds in my bathroom," she tells People about the Bio-Oil.
Brittany Snow: Coppertone Clearly Sheer Lotion Sunscreen SPF 30 ($12)
A good sunscreen is an everyday staple, and Snow told us that hers is from the drugstore. "The one thing I do always put on is sunscreen," she says. "I have very fair skin, so that’s a must. My favorite is Coppertone Clearly Sheer because it’s super light and it finishes in a matte. And it doesn’t clog my pores, which is a major plus."
Hailey Baldwin: Aquaphor Healing Skin Ointment ($7)
Supermodel Baldwin has claimed, in an interview with Teen Vogue, that her desert island pick is Aquaphor. “You can use it on your skin, and lip balm, eyebrows,” she says. "I don’t particularly use it on my skin as an everyday thing, but always on my eyebrows and lips. I put Aquaphor or Vaseline on my brows before I go to bed, and you can use it on your lashes too if you’re careful.”
Venus Williams: Milani Stay Put Waterproof Eyeliner ($8)
An athlete needs beauty products with staying power, and Williams has told us that she swears by this waterproof eyeliner. “I like this waterproof eyeliner by Milani because it’s amazing and it doesn’t smudge on the court,” she says.
Lena Dunham: Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask ($30)
Dunham's a fan of LED light therapy for blemishes, as she's raved about on her Instagram. "Saw the ad for the light therapy acne mask and became obsessed so when we got home from our journey it was waiting on my side of the bed," she writes of the product that stimulates your skin below the surface to fight pimples.
Julianne Hough: L'Oreal Voluminous Original Mascara ($6)
Drugstore mascara is always a win, and Hough told us that's where she gets hers. “I’ve been using this mascara since I was 15 years old,” she says of L'Oreal's product. “I usually use the black-brown shade.”
Shay Mitchell: CoverGirl LashBlast Mascara ($6)
Also in on the drugstore mascara train is actress Shay Mitchell, who tells Well+Good: “Mascara is something that I absolutely love. The one I’m using one right now is Covergirl LashBlast Mascara. For me, it’s key."
Emma Roberts: Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes ($5)
Though Roberts may play all sorts of characters on TV, she washes all that makeup off with a drugstore staple that I personally swear by. “I wash my face every morning and night—I always take my makeup off,” she told me in an interview. “I use the Neutrogena wipes—they’re a lifesaver. I have them everywhere: in my car, at home, on set, I bring them on a plane. Having makeup wipes and taking off makeup whenever you don’t have to wear it is so important.”
Molly Sims: Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water ($7)
Supermodel Sims is a devotee of the French-girl beauty essential that is micellar water. “I’m so frequently on shoots and that means I have layers of makeup on. I swear by micellar water to remove my makeup. It really gets it all off," she told us of her fave version, which is by Garnier.
