Would you take a fitness class…totally naked?

Baring it all in public is probably either something you’re really comfortable with, or something you avoid at all costs. While some people hide in the back corner of the locker room to change at the gym (#guilty!), others walk around in nothing but their post-shower flip-flops. And now, that carefree attitude is encouraged outside the locker room, too. Yes, in-the-buff fitness classes are coming to Manhattan.

For those who loved the naked yoga craze that made it a thing to do downward dog and happy baby with everything—no, seriously, everything—out in the open, celebrity trainer Harry Hanson’s new classes at Hanson Fitness might be up your…uh, alley, so to speak. According to the New York Post, the Soho studio is rolling out three naked classes each week (one for women, one for men, and one co-ed) starting tomorrow.

The high-intensity classes use body-weight exercises to give your booty, legs, and core a killer workout. And even though you’ll probably be sweating bullets with literally nothing to catch and wick said bullets, the no-clothes thing won’t be a slippery safety issue. The trainers will reportedly be there for full-frontal support. Heh?

“Our trainers are qualified to ensure that all workouts are carried out safely and that our clients perform the exercises in the correct manner so not to hurt themselves,” Hanson said.

If you want to see what a naked class is like without being fully nude, there is a way to make it happen. According to Hanson, #nevernudes can exercise in whatever makes them feel comfortable, like nude underwear and sneakers. Or, you can make things extra, umm, interesting with a nude private-training session. Either way, 2018 is officially off to a kinky start—with naked burpees and planks likely just the beginning.
