Starbucks’ holiday cup is the answer to your mood-boosting coloring-book prayers

When it comes to being on top of wellness trends, Starbucks seems to inch closer to pro-status with each new release. Need proof? You can already grab a cup of matcha or golden milk from the coffee chain—and now you can color in the 3-D canvas, too.

Instead of releasing its typical festive red holiday cup, this year Starbucks is trying something different: The just-released version lets you be the designer and fill in the blanks, basically gifting you a meditative, mood-boosting, on-the-go adult coloring book.

“This year’s cup is intentionally designed to encourage our customers to add their own color and illustrations,” Leanne Fremar, executive creative director for Starbucks, said in a statement. “We love the idea of everyone making this year’s cup their own.”

So the next time you need a mental-health break during the workday, look no further than your cup: With the help of a handful of colored pencils—or, maybe more realistically, the highlighters and ballpoint pens at your desk—you can work on your holiday cheer and relieve some stress in the process.
