How Gisele Bündchen Applies Marie Kondo’s Joy-Sparking Principles to Her *Whole* Life
Bündchen recently told Vogue she only keeps things she truly treasures, like a Balenciaga jacket she’s had since she was 17. Everything else she sends to her sisters in order to keep living as minimalist as possible. "People think they need more stuff, but no. Start with the simple principle of waking up in the morning and asking, ‘What makes my life possible?’ It’s such a simple question. The air I breathe, the soil I step on, the food I eat, the water I drink, the sun that makes me happy," she says. "If we understand that our survival depends on the Earth and really appreciate all those gifts, maybe we can show a bit more care. Fashion is a trillion-dollar industry. We have the means. We just have to want to do it."

Keeping her space clutter-free isn't the only wellness habit she's adopted—and she's instilled quite a few of them in her family members—hubby Tom Brady included. Bündchen says she and her fam compost, keep their own bees, avoid using plastic, and her two children grow seasonal veggies in their garden. That's not all, though: She also got Brady on the tincture bandwagon, which he now uses daily to flavor his water with lemon.
Basically, we can all steal a tip or two from this health-conscious clan. If Bündchen's mind-set has motivated you to tackle home organization, check out Marie Kondo's method of decluttering and how the joy-sparking guru and Kristen Bell taught busy moms tips to declutter closets.
These five desserts are Tom and Gisele–approved. Or, steal Gisele's secret to not feeling overwhelmed.
