In the age of mental health realness, Demi Lovato is using her platform to be outspoken. The singer and workout-wear designer is refreshingly honest and forthcoming about her struggles with substance abuse and bipolar disorder, but she’s not content with just being an advocate and artist: Her upcoming Tell Me You Love Me tour will provide literal therapy for ticket holders.

One way she’s facilitating this betterment is by providing fans the opportunity to donate to charities of her choice via text message during each show.
Furthermore, fans will get what is “basically like a therapy session before the concerts,” she explained. Anyone with a ticket will be able to receive free therapy sessions and wellness workshops provided by Comprehensive Assistance Support Treatment Centers (a wellness, addiction, and mental-health advocacy group Lovato used herself and now co-owns) as part of its CAST on Tour initiative, which brings wellness programs out of its Los Angeles base and to the rest of the country via concerts, Rolling Stone reports.
Lovato hopes that by being open about her personal issues and creating a safe space for others, the stigma surrounding mental illness will continue to erode.
