A French figure skater’s Olympic competition music showed who, exactly, run the world

Performing anything Beyoncé-related is a bold choice (when someone chooses “Love On Top” as their karaoke song, you know they’re confident in their skills!), and one French figure skater’s performance at the PyeongChang Olympic Games might’ve even made Queen Bey’s jaw drop.

This year marks the first Olympic games in which competitors are allowed to use music featuring lyrics, Cosmopolitan reported, and Maé-Bérénice Méité decided to go big with an empowered combination of “Halo” and “Run the World (Girls).” Even better, she wasn’t rocking the standard dress you typically see on the rink: She skated her heart out in a fierce gold-sequined jumpsuit.
