Evidently, 49 percent of women in a survey of 2,700 global participants have also felt self-conscious about re-wearing outfits at work. (Whether or not that’s an effect of the hit 2000s TV show or not is unclear though.) It’s high-fashion time to finally let that fear go, though: Diane Von Furstenberg wants #girlbosses to know there ain’t no shame in an outfit-repeating game.

Rewearing your fave garments, she contends is a sign you have a strong personal style. When speaking with Queer Eye‘s Jonathan Van Ness for Thrive Global, the iconic designer made the quality-of-taste over quantity-in-the-rotation argument. Plus, you know what looks great on you, and you shouldn’t only let your most beloved pieces see the light of day once. What’s the fun in that? “When you wear something you like—maybe you’ll even get it in different colors—you begin to have your style. I’m all for repetition,” Furstenberg says.

Now, Von Furstenberg isn’t the only notable woman who’s all for outfit repeating on the reg. In the past, Kate Middleton hasn’t been shy about rewearing everything from dresses to coats, and Tiffany Haddish has gloriously recycled the same stunning white Alexander McQueen dress at least three times. Hopefully though, someday soon the practice won’t be something stars—or anyone, for that matter—gets “caught” doing or called out for. Putting on an garment more than once definitely shouldn’t be a headline-making practice. Rather it should just be an unspoken way of life.
