For the snacks, sips, and vibes for your staycay, we tapped cookbook author and and baking web series host Vallery Lomas to give us the expert foodie intel on how to make home cozy, because any Tuesday night can (and should!) feel like an overnight trip to the mountains.
First up: the vibes. Take a tip from Lomas and and dial up the warm and fuzzy feeling with throw pillows and soft throws. Even if your space doesn't already have a picturesque mantel with a roaring fire, flip on a crackling fire video on your device of choice for the next best thing.
Now it's time for the delicious stuff. Cheers to your hygge-approved space by whipping up Lomas's Peach Wave Spritz. "I love how simple it is to prepare this cocktail, and it only uses a few ingredients," Lomas says. Add some ice in a glass along with Plume & Petal Peach™ Wave, a vodka infused with natural and refreshing white peach, lavender, and black tea flavors. Add club soda and a few fresh peach slices for garnish, and you're done. Easy to make, simple ingredients, and tastes like a winter vacay? We're in.
Our winter hideaway peach spritz is for washing down the main event of any hangout: the snacks. Lomas took a spin on s'mores, creating a baked dip version that you'd actually spend a few chilly nights outside in a tent for.
