The Simple Trick for Being That Girl With Magnetic Confidence

As someone who coaches others in self love, I have a confession: I still struggle with confidence.
Some days, I wake up feeling incredible—but others, my hair won't cooperate, I can't find anything to wear, or I'm just feeling a bit meh.
Over the past few years, I've developed a trick that turns my not-feeling-it 'tude into a camera-ready mood.
My instant self-esteem-boosting secret? A hat. For some reason, a wide-brimmed hat used to intimidate me—maybe because I knew it would attract attention. After all, a hat this big is a statement. I used to try it on at home, squirm a bit, and finally convince myself not to wear it out. (Sad, I know.)
But one day, a switch flipped—and I realized that instead of pulling off the hat because I wasn't feeling self-assured, I could keep it on to actually own my confidence. Just like you'd practice an instrument or language, forcing myself to wear that hat until I became "good" at it allowed me to wear it even on my lowest days.

How did I get to that point? I would put it on, look in the mirror, and say, "This is who I am, this is what I like, and I’m going to wear it proudly. So what if people stare? Let them!" (It can also help to remember times when you've seen other women wearing chic hats—you admired them, not judged them, right?)
So my challenge to you is to embrace powerful styling pieces and wear one ultra-bold accessory to boost your self-esteem. Whether it be a bright red lip, a statement piece of jewelry, or a colorful scarf, this outfit add-on is the perfect way to attract attention—and while that may sound nerve-wracking at first (especially if you're not a me-me-me girl), it can also be an easy first step in making sure you shine.
It's time to wear your confidence and let yourself be seen—because, honey, you are gorgeous.
