I’ll Never Need Lash Extensions Again Thanks to This Instantly Volumizing Mascara
I hope people who are born with full lashes know how lucky they are. Some of us out there (aka, me) have serious lash envy of anyone who has never felt they needed to apply fake lashes. I’m still plucking the lash glue out of my eyes as we speak! It’s just not fair! Thankfully, those of us who weren’t born under the lucky lash star can find ways to fake it, like lash extensions, the aforementioned faux lashes, and, of course, the perfect mascara. I’ve tried them all, including lash extensions, which I loved, but had to give up at some point. I already have hair, skin, and nail routines that require lots of time and money to maintain, so my lash extensions (which usually take a couple of hours to do) have been put on pause. I do think about them from time to time, like a long-lost lover, but now that I found an incredible mascara, that hiatus is going to continue for a while longer. Allow me to introduce the Hello Lashes Lash-Loving Volumizing Mascara from IT Cosmetics.
Pros:
- Conditioning ingredients like biotin, argan oil, and jojoba oil
- Lengthens lashes without feeling too heavy
- Brush separates individual lashes
- Smudge-resistant
- Ball detailer on the end of the brush helps target inner corners
Cons:
- Not waterproof
- A bit pricey at $30
First off, this mascara is different than my usuals because it contains all of these lash-nourishing (loving) ingredients, like biotin, argan oil, and jojoba oil, so it helps conditions the lashes while minimizing lash loss—which is very important to someone who wears false lashes. But the ingredients aren’t the only reason I’m so over-the-moon with this mascara. It lengthens and curls my lashes without making them feel too heavy and coated, which is something a lot of other mascaras tend to do. The brush separates each of my lashes and helps my eyes to look brighter and more awake. (Extremely helpful to someone who has been limiting their coffee intake.)
Another thing that impressed me about Hello Lashes is that I haven’t experienced any smudging, which is super rare for me. I have hooded lids and mascara transfer is common for me. And it’s not even marketed as waterproof! Say what?! Even more, it’s not difficult to remove. I usually just use my micellar water, but apparently you can just use warm water to take it off. I’ve been a longtime fan of It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara so I’m happy that I have another favorite from the brand.
Sorry, lash extensions, it’s gonna be a while before I see you again.
