Exclusive: This New App Lets You Stream Your Favorite Boutique Fitness Classes on the Go
JetSweat—which gives you digital access to top-of-the-line classes for $10 a month—is launching April 3, and grants members with exclusive access to classes from studios like Bari, Sky Ting Yoga, Xtend Barre, and modelFIT. Instead of spending upward of $35 per class in-person, co-founders Erin Frankel and Alexandra Dantzig want fitness fanatics to be able to get their sweat on anywhere they want, for a fraction of the cost. And they want to keep the routines from getting stale.
"We don’t want to have to do the same cardio dance class all the time; we want to have instant access to customized workouts that adapt to different amounts of time, different types of equipment, and that work different parts of our body." —Erin Frankel, JetSweat co-founder
"Both of us frequent a variety of different studios—that's the beauty of this new boutique fitness culture," Frankel tells Well+Good. "Our demographic consumes fitness, but we don’t want to have to do the same cardio dance class all the time; we want to have instant access to customized workouts that adapt to different amounts of time, different types of equipment, and that work different parts of our body. Ultimately, we want to adapt to our environment."
And that's exactly the experience JetSweat offers: After downloading the app, you'll receive workouts that are personalized by video length and difficulty to fit your goals. The app also offers informative reports that'll help you track your progress.
So, what can you expect class-wise? According to Dantzig, there's a little bit of everything, and the app will be updated with plenty of fresh classes on the regular, with the goal to provide users with the hottest new fitness fads, which they can explore at a time that works best for them.
"All of those experiences—from yoga, HIIT, Pilates, barre, dance cardio, and more—are on one platform. We'll be adding new content each week so there's always something new to try. This app allows members to discover the latest in mind and body on their own schedules." —Alexandra Dantzig, co-founder of JetSweat
"If it exists as a popular studio class, you'll find it on JetSweat," she says. "We know our audience likes to visit a variety of studios across a variety of modalities, so that's what we've set out create: All of those experiences—from yoga, HIIT, Pilates, barre, dance cardio, and more—on one platform. We'll be adding new content each week so there's always something new to try."
