Chrissy Teigen’s come up with a brilliant solution to the post-baby lull in her sex life

If you and your partner are having a little trouble in the bedroom post-baby, there’s nothing to be ashamed of: Even Chrissy Teigen and John Legend—basically America’s super attractive mom and dad—have been through that incredibly common lull. Exhaustion and lack of sexual desire aside, there is a solution to getting that spark back.

In the weeks after giving birth, your body hurts, you’re up all hours of the night, and having sex might be the last thing on either of your minds—especially when there’s a baby in the next room crying at the most inopportune times. In her cover story for Women’s Health, Teigen opened up about the important issue new parents tend to keep private, reassuring everyone a lull is normal, even after your doctor gives you the A-OK. “It doesn’t matter who you are—even if you’re a sexy R&B crooner or an ex–swimsuit model, you’re just tired,” she says. “We still have that passion for each other, but are we doing it randomly in a dressing room? No!”

Both Teigen and Legend know they’ll get back into their old routine soon (dressing rooms and all!), but they’re not trying to schedule in frequent rendezvous between the sheets together—they’re letting those moments happen naturally. And for this model, there’s always one thing that’s guaranteed to get her in the mood: “It is funny. If he performs somewhere, and I go, I’m like, ‘Oh, he’s sexy.’ We’ll probably have sex that night,” she says.

Sure, not everyone is lucky enough to have a hubby who sings them “All of Me” on the regular, but anyone can use her tip to help get the ball rolling again in the love-making department.
