New research from LinkedIn found you’re hardly alone in feeling unsatisfied in your career—it’s actually pretty common among millennials. According to a press release, 36 percent of 25- to 33-year-olds have changed their careers entirely, like, to a totally different industry. Additionally, 23 percent have taken a time-out from the workforce to figure out what they want to do with their lives—and what will really yield optimal happiness.

So if you’re not excited about your current career and feel like you need a change, don’t be afraid to take matters into your own hands and switch your path: Sure, it might be a little scary, but considering most people work for quite a while (maybe even into their seventies), it’s smart to invest your time into something you’re passionate about—like, maybe your side hustle.
