Miles Teller is officially off the market, and, he lost his single-guy status in the most adventurous, and arguably the healthiest, way possible—even down to the back-to-nature spot he picked to pop the question.
Teller didn’t get down on one knee just anywhere: During an African safari, with elephants and lions in the background no less, the actor asked model Keleigh Sperry to marry him after four years of dating. Go big or go home, right?
“My philosophy is, if I’m not happier when I’m with you, then there’s no reason for me to be with you. I’m happy on my own.”
And not only did he keep things (literally) down-to-earth for the proposal, he’s all about the idea that a healthy relationship starts with self-love.
“Respect the person you’re with,” he said in a 2014 interview. “My philosophy is, if I’m not happier when I’m with you, then there’s no reason for me to be with you. I’m happy on my own.”
Based on the couple’s huge smiles, it seems like they’re plenty happy together.
