Meet the ‘Magic Linen’ Sheets That Are Absurdly Expensive but Transformed My Quality of Sleep Forever
My bed is my sanctuary, and I take its comfort level seriously. That being said, I’ve never spent more than $150 on sheets and, while I believe you can find a fantastic set for that price (or even lower if you’re a savvy HomeGoods shopper like me), my sleep completely changed when I tried Magic Linen’s luxury bedding, which includes sheets, pillowcases, and duvet covers, plus some gorgeous linen throw blankets, and convinced me that investing in high-quality bed linens—if you can swing it—can make the world of a difference in the quality of sleep.
From the pillows to the duvet cover, my bed is dressed head-to-toe in Magic Linen’s stunning natural textiles. And, while I love everything, it’s the sheets that have been a total game-changer for me—keep scrolling to hear out the "why."

These are the ultimate warm weather sheets
When I first gave my bed its Magic Linen makeover, Los Angeles was experiencing one of its many middle-of-summer heat waves (I'm talking 100-degree+ heat), where it gets so hot that the thought of any covers (even thin sheets) makes you flinch. I’m typically a deep sleeper, however, my sleep quality totally plummets during the summer as I need to be buried under covers to fall and stay asleep, and that is simply not possible when it’s still 90 degrees Fahrenheit in the middle of the night. Enter: The Magic Linen Sheet Set.
Upon stretching the fitted sheet over my Avocado Green mattress and draping the flat sheet on top, I immediately noticed a difference in temperature when I slid into bed. Normally, I would kick the covers off as soon as my head hits the pillow, but this felt different—it was cozy yet cool, and I felt like I could pull the covers up to my neck without breaking a sweat. That night, I slept fully and deeply through the entire night without waking up to push the covers down, take off a layer of clothing, or go sleep on the couch (something I do often when I get too hot in my bed).
Linen, in general, is naturally temperature-regulating and moisture-wicking, making it an excellent choice for the summer (but also great for the winter, since you can easily layer). And, while I have tried other linen sheets before, the Magic Linen set really upped the ante while also keeping a luxe soft-to-the-touch feel that got better and better with every wash.

But they're also superb in the winter, too
By the time winter rolled around (which is very late in Los Angeles—usually January to March are our coldest months), I was still completely obsessed with my sheets and wondered how they might perform against low temperatures. I am typically someone who changes to flannel bedding during the chilly season and, to be completely honest, I wasn’t holding my breath, since linen is known for being a warm-weather fabric (and how could it possibly be as amazing as flannel?!). But, much to my surprise, the sheets (and duvet cover) kept me super warm and comfortable because of their temperature-regulating properties, which give you that “just right” feel and never get too cool or too warm, which is ideal for sleep quality.
What makes them so special—and worth that price tag
While temperature regulation was the first thing I noticed about the Magic Linen sheets, it was actually their quality that stood out to me the most (and continues to impress). The sheets are made from OEKO-TEX certified 100 percent flax with a 190 gr/m2 weight and are stonewashed so they feel so soft and not stiff, unlike other linen fabrics. They also hold up nicely in the washing machine. I barely follow the recommended care instructions—instead, I throw them in the wash on warm and then dry them on medium heat—and have not had any issues with washing. The brand does recommend not drying them all the way and I agree that it is the best way to care for them because they tend to get super wrinkly when twisted and tangled together in the dryer. I wait for mine to get around 95 percent dry and then hang them to soften the wrinkles. I’ve washed my sheets around 50 times so far, and they are still just as durable as they were when I unboxed them, but 10 times softer.
I’ve slept between Magic Linen sheets for almost a year now and can’t imagine my sleep without them. I am lucky to be a deep sleeper and never thought sheets could make that much of a difference in my quality of sleep. However, since switching to the luxe linen bedding, I have noticed a major difference in my sleep, especially when extreme weather hits (and we’ve certainly experienced a lot of that in Los Angeles over the last year).
