How Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher Aim to Kondo Their Kids’ Christmas
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the mother of two revealed she and Kutcher are establishing their own way of celebrating the holiday with their 3-year-old, Wyatt, and 10-month-old, Dimitri. They're all about taking advantage of family time—but unlike last year, when the kiddos were spoiled rotten by their grandparents, the stars' plan is to Kondo their kids' Christmas with a genius new rule.
"Last year when we celebrated Christmas, Wyatt was two, and it was too much," Kunis said. "[The kids] don't even know what they're expecting; they're just expecting stuff.”"
"Last year when we celebrated Christmas, Wyatt was two, and it was too much," Kunis said. She added that she and Kutcher have begged their doting parents to stop spoiling the grandchildren, because the kids "don't even know what they're expecting; they're just expecting stuff.”
The actors told their parents that if gifting is absolutely necessary, limit it to just one per kid, "otherwise, we'd like to take a charitable donation, to the Children's Hospital or a pet [or] whatever you want," Kunis said. "That's our new tradition."
Not only will this minimalist practice keep their home decluttered and organized, but it will also help teach their young ones about mindfulness and materialism from an early age. Ditching presents for good doesn't sound too bad after all, huh? (But, still, never neglect the art of treating yourself.)
