Nike Just Launched Its First-Ever Plus-Size Activewear Line
Some in the sweat set, however, quickly jumped on the activewear giant after the launch when they found out that the bras only went up to an E—not exactly plus-size—and there weren't any other pieces to pair with the bras.
Thankfully, the superstar sports brand was listening—and Nike has officially launched an extended sizes department in its online store, the very first women's collection at Nike above an XL.
"Ultimately, beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, and being strong is beautiful."
"The motivation in young girls today is to be strong. And while strong looks different for everybody, what’s consistent in athletes today is that fitness is very much a part of her lifestyle," explains Helen Boucher, vice president of women’s training apparel at Nike. "Ultimately, beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, and being strong is beautiful. Strong is the keyword for us—size doesn’t matter."

The extended sizes range from a 1X through 3X, with prices sticking around the norm of Nike's women's pieces, from $75 for graphic sports bras to $120 for geometric leggings.
Let's hope that, like so many other trends Nike inspires, brands begin to follow suit on this too.
