We're pretty stoked that Moschino, See by Chloé, 3.1. Phillip Lim, and others have incorporated sporty touches into their fall collections (although we could have told you racing stripes and racerbacks were crazy-stylish years ago), but from cool-girl fave Karen Walker to Kardashian-beloved Vetements, designers have upped the athleisure ante with the most wonderful thing of all: the oversized sweatshirt.
While seasons past may have been all about the statement sweatshirt (made most famous by Beyoncé and her love of kale), this fall bigger is definitely better. Think super-roomy cuts with pretty color palettes, high-fashion embellishments, and—yes—catchy phrases.
You can pull a Gigi or a Rihanna and opt out of pants with these long-and-lean pullovers, or they can top off your outfit—they look just as good with skinny jeans as leggings and sneaks. And while a top from Vetements costs a cool $1,210, not all of them go for four-figures (promise).
With these snuggly styles—plus chic tracksuits and effortless bralettes—on the short list of this season's coolest pieces, this fall is guaranteed to be your most comfortable season yet. (Fingers crossed that slippers are next!)
