We Want To Live in Parachute’s New Linen Dress Forever
The dress is inspired by caftans, the iconic robe that dates back to Ancient Mesopotamia and the chosen garb of our middle school art teachers and hippie grandmothers. Characterized by its narrow cut, full sleeves, and deep open neck, caftans have always been ideal for hot weather months, because the loose fit allows air to circulate throughout the robe, keeping your body temp low, even in extreme heat.
Parachute’s house dress is a chic, modern take on a traditional caftan and comes just months after the brand unveiled their new linen lounge sets, which we couldn't stop gushing about this past spring. Like Parachute’s other linen pieces, this dress is made from 100 percent European flax linen and is machine washable. It features slits on the sides for a flattering silhouette and easy movement on any body type. The dress comes in three neutral earth-tones: coal, a deep gray/dusty black; clay, a muted salmon; and bone, a warm off-white. It also has pockets(!!!) and spacious sleeves that stop at wrist-height.

The gender-neutral look is one of the things we love most about the linen house dress, quickly followed by the fact that it’s available for sizes 0-16. The house dress, which only debuted yesterday (July 28), can be dressed up or down for any occasion. Style it up for brunch with gold or silver jewelry and platform sandals, or style it down for errand-running with comfy slides and your favorite scrunchies.
