There are only a handful of things that will make me move through life with more urgency: when the doors are about to close on the Manhattan-bound M train, when someone says "food is ready," and Oprah (I love her). And just yesterday, she let everybody in on her Favorite Things of 2022. Usually, shopping doesn't send people into a tizzy, but when Oprah says something is her favorite, you get your wallet ready. Among the list, the Revolution Toaster—what Oprah calls the "iPhone of toasters"—made the cut, and it's on sale now for 20 percent off.
At first glance, it's not hard to see why Oprah named it that. The appliance boasts an easy-to-use and fun touchscreen, with 34 modes of toasting bread (yes, 34, you heard that correctly). Using internal temperature sensors and a toasting algorithm, the Revolution sears your bread just how you like it in a matter of seconds (you can use the touch screen to visually see each level of toasty-ness), no matter if it's a bagel, gluten-free bread, Pop-Tart, or waffle. Perfectly crispy edges on the outside and soft on the inside? No problem. Just warm-enough-to-eat-but-not-hot raisin bread? Also, no problem.
Unlike other conventional toasters, which dry out bread, this one uses proprietary technology, aka InstaGLO, to toast your bread without sucking the life out of it. Even more, it comes with a panini press for creating toasted melts, sandwiches, and quesadillas minus the need for extra appliances (think: pans, griddles, and panini makers) and a warming rack to heat up baked goods.
In addition to being Oprah's favorite, the Revolution has amassed its own fanbase on Amazon. One shopper wrote: "The Revolution Toaster is an upgrade over my existing toaster in every way. Looks better, cooks faster and gives you more control over exactly how you want your bread/bagel/waffle etc toasted. You might think a touchscreen on a toaster is a gimmick, but it's actually very useful. It shows pictures of how toasted your item will be, so you know what you're getting. It takes the guesswork out of it so you don't have to waste bread learning where your favorite setting is. It also works amazingly fast."

While the toaster is on the pricier end of the spectrum, Amazon customers say it's worth the price tag: "For $400, yes, this toaster is excessively priced. But you get amazing toast, and it's a really attractive appliance that'll make a statement in your kitchen. It should last a very long time."
The Revolution Toaster takes the guesswork out of toasting, and you can score it on sale. Hurry, though, the sale won't last very long.
