What to look for in a shaker bottle

There are a few key qualities to look for in a shaker bottle. Most importantly, you’ll want one that does its job, creating smooth-as-can-be drinks without leaving powder residue or clumps.  “The blending mechanism of the bottle should be more than efficient at mixing the drink, removing clumps of powder, etc.,” says Noom fitness trainer Lauren K. Baker, MA, ATC-Ret.

You’ll also want one that’s easy to clean too, especially if you’re going to be using it every day. And for this, a stainless steel exterior or interior is best, according to Baker. “A higher quality shaker bottle is best made from stainless steel, as it is easier to clean, and does not absorb odors,” says Baker.  But other materials are good too.
