It’s laundry day and you can’t make your bed until your sheets are washed and dried—which, for the record, experts say should be once a week (if you’re wondering how often sheets should be cleaned—duvet covers can be washed every two weeks) because of the bacteria and dirt that they accumulate.
Without an extra bedding set, it can be difficult to add this bi-weekly task to an already-overwhelming to-do list. At least that’s the case for me, which is why I thought to search for cheap bedding sets in the first place. Switching my sheets without having to wash the dirty ones immediately was a real game-changer—both for my mental health and my wallet.
Whether it means scoring a pair of black leggings at half price, getting a two-for-one deal on platform sneakers, or finding dupes for luxury items like Birkenstocks and Bottega Veneta boots, our staff is always in hot pursuit of optimizing free time and a bargain brag. And, thanks to the cheap bedding sets I found on the internet, I’m currently the reigning queen of the bargain hunters. (Crown me!)
The affordable bedding sets below each have something a little different to offer. They might have only (or more than) two pillow shams, or come with (or without) fitted and top sheets. One thing remains the same, though: They’re all less than $60.

The three pieces you get with this bedding set? Two pillow shams and a reversible duvet. You might not get much with this bedding set—after all, it is missing a fitted sheet as well as a top sheet—but it’s still worth the purchase.
In addition to the geometrically chic design, this set is machine-washable, is made from breathable microfibers, and has a zipper so you don’t have to worry about buttons coming undone when you’re catching zzzs. (Side note: this set is only available in three sizes: twin, queen, and king.)
Chelsea Park Frasier 5-Piece Comforter Set — $40.00
This bedding set features the comforter, two matching pillow shams, and two decorative pillows—which are embroidered with the cross pattern to match the comforter. It’s not advertised as reversible, but the comforter’s flip side doesn’t have the embroidery, so you could reverse it. The comforter is made of 100 percent polyester (and is also filled with it), which means it’s a more lightweight option.
Amazon Basics Bed in a Bag — $51.00
There are more than 20 pattern options to choose from with Amazon’s bed in a bag. Regardless of which you choose, you’ll get a comforter, two 20-inch-by-26-inch pillow shams, two 20-inch-by-30-inch pillow cases, a flat sheet, and a fitted sheet.
Even though it’s polyester microfiber that’s meant to feel cozy, the coolest thing about this set is that the fitted sheets have pockets sown onto them. Those could come in real handy if you’re lacking space on your nightstand.
Dastan Microfiber Bedspread Set — $41.00
This set doesn’t come with sheets, fitted or otherwise, but it’s still a good option. It offers you a lightweight, 100 percent polyester bedding set (a quilt and two pillow shams, for king and queen sizes) and is textured for an aesthetically pleasing addition to any room. It’s also machine washable, so you don’t have to worry about making a trip to the dry cleaner’s.
Amazon Basics Ultra-Soft Micromink Sherpa Comforter Bed Set — $45.00
Coming in hot with availability in more than 20 colors, we have an Amazon Basics set that more than 50,000 people have rated 4.5 out of 5 stars. Perhaps that’s because it’s made of soft materials, like micromink polyester and faux fleece. Or maybe it’s because it’s made in a factory that “ensures textiles meet high safety and standards,” so you can feel extra good about this purchase when you hit the hay. Even though they might not look it, the comforter and shams are both machine washable for added convenience.
Comfort Spaces Bed in a Bag — $39.00
When you purchase this nine-piece bedding set, you get: one comforter, two standard shams, one flat sheet, one fitted sheet, and four pillow cases (!!!). Aside from honoring its moniker, Comfort Spaces’ Bed in A Bag is made of 100 percent microfiber, which makes it light, and is machine washable. If you don’t like the darker option, there’re also blue, coral, and light purple options.
CJ&J Comforter Set — $47.00
This set is interesting because the comforter “can be used as a duvet insert or be treated as a stand-alone comforter,” and I, for one, love functionality. As a three-piece set, it only comes with the comforter and two pillow shams, but it’s soft and lightweight because it’s made with 100 percent microfiber and has 300 GSM filling, which provides year round coziness (because it’s not too heavy or too light).
Jellymoni Cotton 3-Piece Striped Duvet — $42.00
Unlike its polyester and microfiber counterparts on this list, the Jellymoni set is made out of 100 percent cotton. Though the only pattern available is striped, you can get it in more than a dozen colors. The cotton set comes with a duvet cover (which has corner ties so your insert doesn’t come out of place) as well as two pillow cases.
Sweet Home 7-Piece Bed in a Bag — $54.00
This bed-in-a-bag option comes with a matching comforter, a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, and four pillow cases. It’s made of double-brushed microfiber—which means the material is brushed on both sides instead of one, making it soft to the touch. The fitted sheets are also a perk, since they have deep pockets designed to fit mattresses up to 16 inches tall.
Threadmill Home Linen Certified 100% Egyptian Cotton Sheets — $60.00
Because so many of the options here don’t come with sheets and have only two pillow cases, both of which experts say you should also be frequently washing, it felt right to include at least one option to consider. This set is great because it’s made of authentic Egyptian cotton, so you can get a night of luxurious sleep on a 400-thread-count fitted sheet, flat sheet, and two pillow cases.
Perhaps one day, I’ll be able to do the “adult” thing and invest in a few nice sets of high-quality sheets. For now though, I’m perfectly content to enjoy the cards I’ve been dealt. I’ve promptly ordered a few of these cheap bedding sets. Now, please excuse me—microfiber calls. It’s time for a low-priced, high-quality nap.
