The hero ingredient in both products is Tsubaki seed oil, a type of camellia seed oil derived from South Korea’s Jeju Island. Often referred to as “Eastern olive oil,” the ingredient is known for its abilities to smooth, strengthen, and moisturize strands, improve scalp blood circulation, and provide antioxidant protection to hair. It’s lightweight and non-greasy, yet ultra-hydrating, making it effective on all hair types.

The shampoo pairs its Tsubaki oil with a coconut-based surfactant, which provides a bubbly lather without stripping your scalp of its natural, moisturizing oils the way sulfates (the suds-ing element that’s traditionally been used in shampoo) tend to do. In the conditioner, Tsubaki oil links up with beetroot extract, which stimulates hair growth, prevents dandruff, and adds strength and shine. The end result? Hair that looks more nourished and less damaged from root to tip.
