Growing up at the turn of the 2000s meant your childhood was likely marked by memories of Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton sporting seriously chic (at the time) Juicy Couture velour tracksuits. The pastel-colored sweats and matching zip-ups offered up both comfort and fashion, and became a major fashion must-have on college campuses. (Bonus points if you convinced your parents to get you the ones with “JUICY” splashed across the bum.)
But if you thought the early millennial athleisure moment was long gone, Juicy Couture’s newly appointed creative director just may prove you wrong. According to The Cut, celebrity stylist Jamie Mizrahi is here for the nostalgia, and he’s considering bringing back the Juicy classic.

The show’s beloved leading lady (well, after Marissa Cooper’s fiery death) was as perky and peppy as she was unapologetic and, at times, oh-so-angry with affable BF Seth Cohen. But she was always BFF #goals, and lived by the motto, “If I say something that I don’t believe in, I could end up with the wrong life.”

As the strong, independent, entrepreneurial (highly caffeinated) single mom to Rory, Lorelai was the ultimate example of how to be an actual cool mom. “It’s all any of us wants—to find a nice person to hang out with ’til we drop dead,” she famously quipped. “Not a lot to ask.”

And then there was the other safe sex-advocating “cool mom,” who just wanted to hang with her popular daughter and her friends. The [booze-free] margarita-serving mom was the head of a rule-free household, and she had that Jingle Bell Rock choreography on lock, proving she really wasn’t “like a regular mom.”
