Medical esthetician and healer, Mashell Tabe, exudes positive energy. Go in for a facial with her and you’ll find that the tone of her voice soothes as her touch totally relaxes you. It’s no wonder she’s gained popularity amongst A-listers the likes of Naomi Watts and RHONY royalty Carole Radziwill.
But before she was a healer, Tabe carved out a reputation as the go-to gal for micro-needling (long before it was the buzziest thing on Instagram). The treatment, which pricks tiny holes into the complexion, is thought to allow for better absorption of product and to help stimulate collagen production. Nowadays, you’ll find her tending to the body’s largest organ, while also taking into account the spirituality of skin care to bring about the lit-from-within glow. No doubt, it starts from with within, but a little serum never hurt either.

“I’ve been using this cleanser on patients and myself for as long as I’ve been in the game,” Tabe says. “It’s the perfect mixture of what you want in an exfoliating cleanser—it’s gentle so it doesn’t dry out your skin, but also really gets the job done. I recommend it for nightly use for all skin types, including sensitive skin.”
Twinlab Na-PCA Spray $10
“Not many people know that hydration is the core of skin rejuvenation,” explains Tabe. “If your skin is not hydrated, every product you put on goes to waste. So, after cleansing—but before those fancy creams and serums—start by spritzing this all over your face, neck, and décolleté. It helps optimize the other nutrients you put on your skin.”

“I’m a huge fan of oils,” Tabe tells me. “This roller is amazing, especially if you have issues with under eye circles. The prickly pear seed oil helps hydrate and is high in vitamin K to help reduce dark circles.”

“It’s really important to include vitamin C in your regimen,” explains Tabe. “First, the body needs vitamin C (and A) to produce collagen and elastin. Second, it’s helpful for reducing hyperpigmentation. Lastly, when you use vitamin C on a regular basis, it protects skin from the sun.”
