The steepest discounts and the hottest items go quickly, so we’re up early and pouring ourselves some joe to catch the best of them (like these never-on-sale wellness essentials.) After many a cup and too little sleep, we’ve realized our coffeemakers are long overdue for an upgrade.
So we asked two baristas for advice on which one to buy. What should we look for, and which one’s best?
Mary Bleech, a barista at Pronto Caffé and Gelataria in Lexington, Virginia, notes that she prioritizes at-home coffee machines that regulate the temperature of the water as its brewing, as well as a feature that offers easy measurement tracking for both. “Temperature and ratio of grounds to water are key for a good cup,” Bleech explains.
Nic Maloney, a barista based out of Great Harvest Bread Company & Cafe in Burlington, Vermont, agreed.
