Watch out Stan Smith, there’s a new sneaker trend that’s popping up on the feet of celebrities, bloggers, and fitness-fashionistas everywhere: The pink sneaker.
But don’t pack up your favorite white pair just yet.
We’ve been tracking this trend for quite some time and although they serve a slightly different purpose than the classic ivory-hued pair, it appears the two can—and will—live in harmony. (Cue the collective sigh of relief.)
While the white sneaker is your go-to, everyday, looks-good-with-everything choice, the blush sneaker has a slightly more sophisticated and high-fashion look—meaning it’ll take longer than the slip-on-and-go alternatives.
Perhaps made popular by the always-sold-out Puma Creepers (thanks, Rihanna), the pink sneaker looks best with a more neutral look. While you don’t have to go completely colorless, reserve those bright and bold ensembles for the clean-cut white sneaker, and opt for denim, solid colors, and subdued, chic prints for your rose-colored footwear. Think of them as the white sneaker’s even cooler older sister.
Get ready to blush—and then shop—when you see these perfectly pink sneakers.
