I’m not a big fan of rain boots. They’re clunky and pretty much always leave me with blisters. Waterproof sneakers, however, look great, fit comfortably, and go with everything in my wardrobe.

But finding sneakers that are wholly waterproof can sometimes be challenging. That said, it’s important to pay attention to the shoe’s material more so than their description to really know if they’re going to protect your feet from the elements. One material that comes to mind is Gore’s GORE-TEX breathable waterproof membrane. It’s commonly used in clothing and footwear because of its water-shielding properties.
