Is teal the new black (or millennial pink)? According to British paper company GF Smith it is.
The company asked thousands of people in more than 100 countries to vote for their favorite color, and the winner is a shade of blue-green the paper pros have dubbed Marrs Green (named after one of the survey participants).

The moody-meets-mellow, soothing-yet-invigorating jewel-toned hue joins the iconic Colorplan palette as its temporary 51st shade, which will be available for designers, brands, and individuals, House Beautiful UK reports. (Think Pantone, but in the UK.)
And while the color is pretty, its popularity may represent something bigger. “In these uncertain times, where political and social upheaval has become the norm, we crave the calming tranquility of green and its association with the reassuring certainty of nature’s cycles,” Viewpoint Colour Magazine editor Caroline Till tells House Beautiful.
