Slogans found in Lululemon’s recycling prove “Camel Toe” was the best choice

After posting Lululemon’s new ad on our Well+Good Facebook page yesterday, it turns out readers think the yoga apparel company’s Just Say No to Camel Toe ad is pretty hilarious. We’d have to agree.

Prior to Lulu’s latest campaign, yoga ads came in two flavors: The way-too-earnest variety (you know what we’re taking about—the promise of spiritual transformation with every purchase), or the American Apparel approach (too sexy or too amateurish).

Lulu’s ad looks nearly hygienic by comparison, a public (or pubic?) service for all those who’d rather focus on their practice than their, well, gusset.

We figure that Lululemon execs probably looked at a lot of crotch shots before choosing this more inspirational image of yogi-model Sarita Lou from the side.

And probably a slew of slogans littered the conference room floor for being too “Sarah Silverman-inspired.” Luckily for Well+Good, a Vancouver reader slipped us a note (from the Lulu HQ recycling bin), so we could bring you the Lost Lulu files—slogans that didn’t make the lastest Lululemon ad. Enjoy!
