What to look for in a tank top with a built-in sports bra

A good sports bra can make all the difference in a workout. “There’s nothing worse than being focused in your sweat session, only to be distracted by having to readjust a strap or feeling like you can’t take the deep breath you really need. I say ‘The better the sports bra, the better the workout!'” says Shantani Moore, a Pure Barre XPRO for Xponential+. And since you’re going to be sweating it in, look for fabrics that are breathable or sweat-wicking.

The perfect fit will vary from individual to individual, but Moore says one way to know if a tank sports bra is too tight is if parts of your chest are coming out of the side or the straps are too tight on the back. And if you are worried if the top is too loose: “Do a couple jumping jacks and you’ll know right away!”
