Back when group fitness classes were a thing we could do, I would show up in my cutest activewear because I am, as I have mentioned many times on this site, deeply single. But as I learned the hard way, just because a sports bra is cute and makes your boobs look good doesn’t mean it’s a great sports bras for doing high-intensity activities.
By “learned the hard way” I mean my left boob fully popped out of my sports bra while I was doing deadlifts. This was the second-worst thing that has happened to me at the gym—the first: FWB-ing (that’s friends with benefits, for anyone like my editor, who doesn’t know) a trainer there and then running into him all the time after our fling ended. Moral of the story: If you have big boobs, choose a sports bra based on how supportive it is first, how cute it is second. And also, maybe don’t sleep with someone who works at a place where you go to all the time.
While I have broken the second lesson one (or three) more times, I haven’t chanced it with a sports bra since that fateful boob-popping-out day.
