Even if This Week Feels Gloomy, the Waning Quarter Moon Means New Beginnings Are Getting Ready To Bloom
Speaking of anger and change, Mars, the planet of action, moves from Taurus into Gemini on Wednesday at 10:29 p.m., where he’ll stay until April 23rd. Mars represents the dynamic passion that catalyzes action, and his move into a mutable air sign will help to mobilize desires even more—assuming that we aren’t acting impulsively.
The last time Mars was in versatile Gemini was May 2019, and in the sign of the twins, Mars will activate drive and determination in a way he hasn’t for nearly two years. In Gemini, he will not only bring a sense of ferocity to how we are thinking, but he will also bring the ability to activate our breath, our mind, and our desire for change. If we can simultaneously make sense of our emotions and catalyze passion, we’ll be able to get a lot done in the upcoming weeks. However, this transit also asks us to pace ourselves and not act recklessly. Without mindfulness, we may find ourselves acting out Gemini’s fickleness, flip-flopping between options and feeling aimless. So again, come back to your intentions for change and be precise in your actions. When in doubt, leave it out and stay conscientious.
The waning quarter moon in Sagittarius marks a great opportunity to release what you no longer need.
Come Thursday, Mercury, Gemini’s ruling planet, makes an auspicious connection to Jupiter, the planet of good luck and good fortune. Mars in Gemini answers to Mercury, and Mercury’s connection to the planet of expansion helps us clean up any miscommunications from his recent retrograde. Remember, Mercury, still in his shadow, originally conjoined Jupiter on Valentine’s Day, and now that he’s direct, he’s giving us a redo with the king of the solar system. This is extremely positive, and wildly important. Use this transit to your advantage.

Thursday is a great day to ask for what you need, to reach out and tell someone how you feel, and to say yes to opportunities coming your way. If you aren’t sure what you want, use this day to get clear about what you need.
Come Friday, we have the waning quarter moon in Sagittarius, which marks a great opportunity to release what you no longer need. Look around your space, find the clutter, and let it go. Sagittarius is closely related to fitness, so consider dedicating time on Friday to centering yourself via exercise. Even if you can’t get physically active, exercising your vision by expanding your viewpoint can also provide for a release.
The waning quarter moon in Sagittarius marks the halfway point between the full moon and the upcoming new moon, and allows us to cultivate all that has come to fruition in the last lunar cycle. So, keep an open mind. Regardless of how gloomy life may feel, you are growing. And this is precisely the week when you may start to feel things begin to blossom.
