The One Healthy Item You Should Always Have With You, According to Wellness Insiders
So for one of these many items to actually gain a coveted spot inside an influencer’s bag, it’s got to be really special. After all, these are the things a gal relies on to get her through long days of meetings, on-the-fly workouts, and late nights at the office. Think best-of-the-best status.
We asked some of our favorite wellness it-girls to tell us which products they can’t get through the day without, and while a lot of their answers were pretty classic—like essential oils and all-natural beauty loot—others were a little more surprising. (Menstrual cycle-regulating tinctures, anyone?)

MH: I always carry my Yoga Tune Up massage balls. I got these from Jill Miller, the founder of Yoga Tune Up, at a workshop in Palo Alto, CA— it's an incredible way to get a really intense myofascial release anywhere.
NF: My 3-pound hand weights, so carrying the bag itself is a workout. (Just kidding!) The most wellness-related items in my handbag are probably some of my iPhone apps: Runkeeper and Tabata for running and workouts, Sleep Cycle and Binaural for a better night's sleep, and Calm.

TS: I’m obsessed with lavender essential oil, it’s my favorite! I bring it with me everywhere. It’s an easy and quick tool that makes me feel amazing and instantly brightens up my mood, all while keeping me relaxed and centered. I especially love DoTerra’s Touch roll-on in lavender—it smells incredible, is easy to apply, and is super-portable.

JG: It’s so hard to choose just one, but I always have a rose quartz as a reminder to attract and give off loving vibes. I also always have peppermint essential oil in my bag. Taking a deep breath of peppermint oil wakes my brain up like nothing else and completely clears the sinuses. Plus, a drop of peppermint oil on the tongue is the best natural breath freshener on the planet.

I’m never without the Refreshingly Clean powder cleansers from Honest Beauty—they come in fabulous little single-use packets and are so soothing after a good sweat.
Jordan Younger, founder of The Balanced Blonde
I don't go anywhere without a reusable water bottle. The importance of hydration is highly underestimated when it comes to glowing skin, happy cells, and a calm, content nervous system. Plus, I lose a lot of sweat in my daily workouts so I am all about replenishing! Also... Stevia droplets! I bring them everywhere so I never have to use artificial sweetener in my tea, coffee, or oatmeal.
Ruby Warrington, founder of The Numinous
I'm currently obsessed with Alexandra Derby's "Cosmic Cycle" tinctures. I've been working to regulate my menstrual cycle for the past few months and not only are these helping me find my flow, but the packaging is beyond chic!
Sarah Gibson Tuttle, founder of Olive & June
Ilia lip gloss in White Rabbit. I can wear it over any lipstick, lip gloss, or on its own. It's partially organic, goes on without any weird stickiness, and [is made with] ingredients that hydrate my lips.
Elizabeth Kott and Stephanie Simbari, hosts of the podcast That's So Retrograde
EK: Not sure if it's the bit of booze—they have an organic brandy base—or just taking the moment for the intention, but I love the little boost Flora Luna flower essences give me throughout the day. Since we did an episode on flower essences, I've been hauling "Clarity" with me at all times.
SS: Schmidt's Natural Deodorant in Cedarwood + Juniper. I carry it around because as much as I love natural deodorant, the truth is I'm a sweaty Betty and it needs some re-applying throughout the afternoon. It's chic to go natural and protect yourself against potential aluminum-related cancer, but I don't necessarily need my pheromones running rampant as I attempt to conduct business—real life isn't a stinky music festival.
Annie Lawless, co-founder of Suja Juice and creator of Blawnde
Coconut oil! You can get little travel-sized, single-serving packets at most natural markets or online. I carry this no matter what because it’s good for everything. If I have chapped lips, dry skin, frizzy hair, a sunburn, or need a clean salad dressing or snack, coconut oil has me covered.
In the mood to splurge? These are the wellness items that are so worth the money. Now that you've upgraded its contents, you may as well update the bag itself—we love these seven Instagrammable totes and duffels.
