The holidays, while filled with festivity and cheer, can be a busy and sometimes stressful time. With parties on the calendar, work deadlines to meet, and, oh yeah, the actual holidays to celebrate, your proverbial—and, let’s be real, literal—plate is probably full. Fashion designer Zac Posen is no stranger to a packed schedule come the holiday season (he’s promoting his Pre-Fall 2018 womenswear collection and the release of his internationally influenced cookbook).
When I caught up with him at a New York City signing for Cooking With Zac, Posen revealed that he turns to self care to stay on his A-game throughout the season of busy cheer.
“Bath salts are an amazing way for me to decompress after a long day at work. They’re relaxing and rejuvenating—they make a great addition to one’s self-care routine.” —Zac Posen
His favorite way to unwind? A soak sesh in an Epsom-salt–infused tub. “Bath salts are an amazing way for me to decompress after a long day at work. They’re relaxing and rejuvenating—they make a great addition to one’s self-care routine,” Posen said.
It’s no wonder Posen turns to an Epsom-salt soak for a self-care boost; the stuff is rich in magnesium, and is great for soreness, pains and post-workout muscle aches.
Even better, scoring a bag of soothing, lavender-infused Epsom salts will run you less than $5—so, where better than in a dreamy tub to read about Posen’s veggie-heavy recipes?
Supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio swears by bath salts too. Not much of a bath person? Here’s how to take the most relaxing shower of your life.
