This Healthy Brownie Recipe Satisfies a Victoria’s Secret Model’s Sweet Tooth
Even if you feel pretty darn good about your body (and you should!), knowing that more than 6 million people are about to see you in your underwear is enough to make any body-positive boss babe hyper aware of what she's eating—yes, even if you look like Blanca Padilla. The model is heading to Shanghai this week for the filming of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which airs November 28. (Yep, a week after Thanksgiving, when you're still polishing off the last of the leftovers.)
When I met up with the Padilla and her personal trainer, Stephen Pasterino, at the launch of his P.volve Fitness class and streaming workout, I learned about her fitness routine. (The idea behind the new workout is low-impact, hip-opening moves that sculpt the inner thighs, butt, and abs.)
Okay, but what does she eat? Padilla says she sticks to lean meats, fish, easy-to-digest grains like quinoa, and lots of veggies. But, like virtually every other red-blooded living being, she craves sweets every now and then. Rather than hitting up the candy aisle at the drugstore, she satisfies her sweet tooth by whipping up something homemade, which allows her control the ingredients.

"I use natural sweeteners, like honey and stevia," she says. "I love chocolate, so one way I like to have it is making hot chocolate with raw cacao and coconut milk. It's so creamy and nice—and it's actually healthy!"
Another way she gets her fix? Baking brownies—seriously. Here, she shares her go-to healthy recipe. Check it out below, and then try it yourself.
