The Cariuma founders called the the Greenbriar tone “homage to the flora and fauna that inspire our mission.” These eco-friendly shoes are not just made with Mother Earth in mind. When you buy a pair of sneakers, the team at Cariuma plants two trees in the founder’s home country in the Brazilian rainforest. A majority of the trees planted are located in the Atlantic forest biome, home to one of the most relevant biomes in need of restoration and where only 11 percent of the original tree covering is still standing.

Add in the completely vegan insoles, organic cotton canvas, and laces made from recycled plastics and organic cotton, Cariuma is practicing what they preach.
