Ilia’s New Mascara Will Give You All the Drama Without Flaking or Clumping

I rarely wear makeup, but when I do, I tend to opt for the no-makeup makeup look. In part because my makeup application skills are sub-par but also because I don’t care to spend much time getting ready. So, when I do decide to wear makeup, I usually go for a skin tint, a multi-purpose tinted balm, and mascara. I’m a huge fan of Ilia’s Limitless Lash Mascara ($28) for natural-looking lashes, but my new favorite (that still falls into the minimal makeup category) is the Ilia Fullest Volumizing Mascara ($28).

This mascara will give you your most voluminous lashes yet without flaking, clumping, or irritating your eyes.

I love the drama of volumizing mascaras, but often, I find that they clump my eyelashes together and end up flaking within a few hours of wear. I was hoping the Ilia Fullest Volumizing Mascara would lift and lengthen my lashes without causing them to clump seconds after applying, and it lived up to my expectations and then some.

In my opinion, this mascara still provides a “natural look,” but if you’re a fan of length and volume and aren’t quite ready to invest in something more permanent like lash extensions, this is definitely a great alternative.

The hero ingredients in this mascara are arginine for stronger, healthier lashes; provitamin B5 to nourish and promote thicker-looking lashes; and a weightless wax blend that adds full, flexible volume with each swipe. I’ll need to test it out longer to see if my lashes end up stronger and healthier, but I can definitely attest to thicker-looking lashes from the jump.

What I love the most about this formula is that it lives up to the buildable volume claim, which means you can apply multiple layers without the final result looking like you only have three eyelashes, and once it’s set, it doesn’t flake. Another reason I love this mascara is that it doesn’t irritate my eyes which is very rare and it comes off easily, so you don’t have to worry about waking up the next day with raccoon eyes. Plus, it gives volume and length that is great for sitting at home, date night, and everything else in between.

If you’re like me and want all the drama with minimal effort, I highly recommend the Ilia Fullest Volumizing Mascara.
