The Best at-Home Workout for You to Try Next, According to Your Zodiac Sign
Below, astrologer Kyle Thomas and celebrity trainer Dustin Anderson provide suggestions tailored to each zodiac sign workout. According to Thomas, your sign determines your personality traits—so if you’re an aggressive fire sign, for instance, yoga may not be your most optimally effective next exercise attempt. To help you get started, use the list below to inject some star-aligned excitement and enthusiasm into your at-home quarantine workouts.
Below, find your ideal zodiac sign workout you can do from home.
Aries: Capoeira
Capoeira is a form of martial arts that “combines elements of fight, acrobatics, music, and dance in a very elegant and magnetic way,” says Anderson. For a fiery Aries, who is often considered one of the most hostile signs of the zodiac, it’s an ideal workout since it’ll burn off all that extra energy Aries tend to have. “Aries is ruled by Mars, so they’re highly energized and aggressive, which is why a martial arts–based workout would be perfect for them,” adds Thomas.

Taurus: Cycling
Peaceful Taureans have an affinity for nature and gentle movements, which is why cycling works for them. “Cycling allows for social distancing when out and about, or one can get a stationary bicycle for their home,” says Thomas. In addition, cycling can help improve endurance in a calming way, perfectly exemplifying the steadfast attitude Taureans are known for.

Gemini: HIIT
Chatty Geminis are ruled by Mercury, which, according to Thomas, means their minds are moving in a million directions, and quickly. “HIIT will help keep their minds—and bodies—moving,” he says.
Anderson stresses that the short, super-intense bursts needed for HIIT workouts make it tough to focus elsewhere, and that can be helpful for orienting a Gemini.

Cancer: Tai chi
Cancers, much like their celestial spirit animal, the crab, love staying in their hard, protective shells, which makes the ancient mind-body Chinese exercise of tai chi perfect for these homebodies. “It’s often described as meditation in motion, composed of controlled and generally gentle, fluid movements, while focusing on controlled breathing,” says Anderson. “Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion.”
Leo: Circuit training
“Leos crave activity and tend to be extremely confident, so circuit training will keep them moving and awake the natural leader in them,” says Thomas. Essentially, circuit training consists of a round of exercises with few breaks between, allowing for full focus and exhaustion.
“For example, in a single bodyweight circuit workout, one circuit could consist of five burpees, 10 push-ups, 15 planks, and 20 jump squats,” says Anderson. “You move from one exercise right to the next with minimal rest in-between each exercise, in order to keep your heart rate up.”
Virgo: Steady-state cardio
Virgos are extremely logical and practical and pride themselves on being dependable to a fault. “Since Virgos love routine, stability, and repetition, steady-state cardio is an excellent match for them,” says Thomas. Essentially, that means endurance training, where you keep up a single pace for a long period of time.
“It’s a set pace at a moderate intensity,” Anderson adds. “Think of it as a long run, jog, or bike ride. This type of endurance training is especially beneficial if you’re planning for a race or other event, but regardless, the repetition can be very soothing.”
Libra: Pilates
Represented by the scales, Libras look for balance in every area of their lives. “Libras are also ruled by Venus, which is the planet of love, beauty, and money,” says Thomas. “They need a workout that appeals to their love of grace and harmony.” This is why Pilates, with its focus on alignment and posture, is ideal.
“Pilates classes improve abdominal endurance, flexibility, and balance,” says Anderson. “Pilates tends to target the core, although the exercises work other areas of your body as well, and it boils down to being a full-body workout that will help you do everything better—even sit at your desk.”

Scorpio: Kickboxing
Scorpios are ruled by Pluto, the planet of destruction and transformation, and they have a lot of feelings they’re not afraid to show. “They need a way to get their intense feelings, passion, and aggression out, which is why I recommend kickboxing,” says Thomas. It’s a great combination of cardio and strength, and can be super therapeutic.
“Kickboxing will improve your coordination, balance, and agility, while getting in a ton of cardio,” says Anderson.
Sagittarius: Zumba
Quarantine is likely hitting travel-loving Sags hard. “They need excitement and youthful energy in their lives at all times, so dance workouts are a perfect match for them,” says Thomas. Plus, constantly changing choreography keeps a Sag entertained.
Capricorn: Weight training
Capricorns are known for their unwavering focus and grounding energy. “Capricorns like to stick with tried-and-true methods in all areas of their lives, which is why weight training is a great match for them,” says Thomas. They’re also extremely goal-oriented, and the consistency of results that come from strength training will help them keep going, upping weights when needed.
Aquarius: Jiu Jitsu
The quirkiest sign of the Zodiac, Aquarians are curious, intellectual, and experimental. “Aquarians love to incorporate new ideas into their vision for the world,” says Thomas. “This is why Brazilian Jiu Jitsu will bring out their independent and original side.” Anderson insists that Jiu Jitsu can improve both balance and agility, as well as help flex an Aquarians creative muscles.
Pisces: Yoga
Dreamy, intuitive, and intense, Pisces needs a zodiac sign workout that will appeal to their spiritual side—and what better way to do that than through yoga? “Yoga is a very popular, gentle way to improve your posture, balance, coordination, and self-awareness,” says Anderson. Not only does it allow you to sit still with your feelings (which is a necessity for these emotional fish), but it’s also a great way to improve your mood. The best part? With so many options available, Pisces can go as intense or relaxed as they please.
